ŞALVAR
In Anatolian culture, the şalvar is a traditional garment worn by women, men, and children. Its loose fit provides freedom of movement. Although it is often associated with people involved in agriculture and animal husbandry, the şalvar, made from fabrics, colors, and patterns specific to the region, holds special meanings according to the wearer’s social status (as seen in the attire of "efe"). It is a timeless garment, worn on special occasions such as weddings, headbinding ceremonies, childbirth, and postpartum celebrations, and reflects the local and folkloric fashion of those events.
