CHARIK – YEMENI
Charik is a type of footwear traditionally made in Anatolia from durable animal leather, with woolen knitted socks worn inside. Leather strips are attached around the edges with braids to fasten the shoes at the ankle. The toes of the charik are pointed and raised, providing comfort for walking.
Yemeni, on the other hand, is a lighter version made from soft leather, worn during warmer months. Both charik and yemeni are traditional shoes worn throughout Anatolia for centuries, representing the unique footwear of the region.
